First-aid measures
Eye contact : In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with a copious amount of water for at least 15minutes.
Obtain medical attention immediately.
Skin contact : In case of contact, immediately flush skin copiously with water for at least 15 minutes while
removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly
before reuse. Obtain medical attention immediately.
Inhalation : If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give
oxygen. Obtain medical attention immediately.
Ingestion : Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth; then drink one or two glasses of water. Contact a doctor or a
Poisons Information Centre (Phone: 13 11 26). Obtain medical attention immediately. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so
that vomit does not enter the lungs.
Notes to : Probable mucosal damage may contraindicate the use of gastric lavage. Measures against
Physician circulatory shock, respiratory depression and convulsions may be needed.

General Information:
You should call The Poisons Information Centre if you feel that you may have been poisoned, burned or irritated by

times. Have this SDS with you when you call.
Inhalation: First aid is not generally required. If in doubt, contact a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor.
Skin Contact: Seek urgent medical attention. Flush contaminated area with lukewarm, gently flowing water for at
least 60 minutes, by the clock. DO NOT INTERRUPT FLUSHING. If necessary, keep emergency vehicle waiting
(show paramedics this SDS and take their advice). Under running water, remove contaminated clothing, shoes and
leather goods (e.g. watchbands, belts).
Eye Contact: Immediately flush the contaminated eye(s) with lukewarm, gently flowing water for at least 20-30
minutes, by the clock, while holding the eyelid(s) open. Neutral saline solution may be used as soon as it is available.
DO NOT INTERRUPT FLUSHING. If necessary, keep emergency vehicle waiting (show paramedics this MSDS and
take their advice). Take care not to rinse contaminated water into the unaffected eye or onto face. If irritation persists,
repeat flushing. Call a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor urgently. Take special care if exposed person is
wearing contact lenses.
Ingestion: If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Wash mouth with water and contact a Poisons Information
Centre, or call a doctor.

loosen remaining clothing. Allow patient to assume most comfortable position and keep warm. Keep at rest until

Skin Contact: If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running
water. If swelling, redness, blistering or irritation occurs seek medical assistance.

PPE for First Aiders: Wear safety shoes, overalls, gloves, chemical goggles. Available information suggests
that gloves made from nitrile rubber should be suitable for intermittent contact. However, due to variations in
glove construction and local conditions, the user should make a final assessment. Always wash hands before
smoking, eating, drinking or using the toilet. Wash contaminated clothing and other protective equipment before
storing or re-using.

Give water to rinse out mouth, then provide liquid slowly and as much as casualty can comfortably drink.
